Introductions

-          The question introduction: poses a question or enigma where the answer lies within the main article.
-          The anecdote introduction = a short account of something interesting or humorous.
-          The quote introduction – an interesting or shocking quote which may attract people to read the article. This also allows the article to do the talking from the beginning.
-          The action/adventure introduction = begins with a high point of excitement.
-          The description introduction = describes either people or places.
-          The summary introduction = gives details about the article in a brief way.
-          The shock/horror introduction = using a shocking or sensational introduction to hook the reader’s attention and persuade them to read further on, onto the article.
