Firstly, to make this how it looks I have changed a lot of things and the first thing that I did was change the opacity on the footer bar that portrays 'Tickets to Leeds festival' as I wanted to make
it seem more spontaneous rather than the solid block colour
that it previously was, as well as this I added in a new shape that would be
the base of my main headline, and I also altered the opacity on this so that
you could still see my model in the background. To me this still wasn’t enough
so I tilted it along with the text. Even still it just didn’t satisfy me so I added
some lines that would give it that extra edge and allow it stand out from a
crowd of magazines. I decided to line my sell lines out generically so that
they were simple, and easy to read and I put them all, apart from my exclusive
sell line on the right hand side because this is seen as the ‘weaker’ of the
sides due to us reading from left to right. However, I did place my exclusive
on the right hand side but that was down to the fact there was very little
space left on the magazine. Another big difference on my magazine was the
editing of the masthead in which I played around with for about 30 minutes to
give it that extra, alluring, attractive, and enigmatic of looks. On this
magazine I have stuck firmly to my three colour pallet scheme in which is also
portrayed on my models clothing, and this allowed my magazine to look more
appealing rather than a mess of colours. I went onto a barcode generator to
generate my own barcode, and the barcode portrays a few random numbers and ‘BottledMag’
just to give it that more professional of looks.
I added a new background with a pattern of a wall (although
the brick are very small) and I coloured it blue with a gradient from a
slightly lighter blue to a darker blue. I liked this addition because I felt it
added another element that could help attract my target audience.
