Double page spread

When I made this double page spread I inserted columns, four of them on each page. As well as this, I added photos which I edited on Photoshop first. I inserted lines of different shapes and colours too, and this was because they add that flavour of class and colour to the magazine. I added in advertisements because they add a flavour of professionalism to the magazine, also the two page spread that I modelled had them.
The tools I used included the type tool, rectangle frame tool, eyedropper tool, and line tool.
On the mark noble article, I got rid of the white background by editing it on Photoshop before saving it as a web device and a PNG-24. I linked my columns together by clicking the penultimate box on the bottom right hand corner of each box, I then inserted text and it flowed through them well. To design the layout of the double page spread, I drew rectangle frames with the rectangle frame tool. To line everything up and keep it all neat, I used base lines in order to keep everything neat. I used a drops cap to add a sense of professionalism to the double page spread too.

Album Covers

I just created an album cover for a group called Wire Heart, their album name is Broken Bird.
This group is targetted towards teenage males so I tried to reflect this by adding some noisy brushes that could portray mess and disequilibrium.
I applied a broken disc brush and a bubble brush.
This is my first album cover, I do not like it because the connotations aren't in the cover itself. Also I feel like I have overdone it with the brushes, and this was more of  a practice one than my other two.

This is my second attempt at an album cover, and I like it, however, when I loaded up photoshop I accidently chose 'greyscale' and therefore, I couldnt add any colour to it. despite this, I feel like I have created a good album cover.
With this cover, I wished I could add colour, but with the same sort of desing, and so I did. The fonts I used for this album cover are Alpha Cloud and Bird of Feather. the brush I used is Clouds. I would have preffered this to be in colour. I had a random play around with the image of the bird and it came out as such, I don't actuallu know what I did but it was effective in making the album cover look decent.

This is my third and final album cover, and although a near replica of my second album cover, I like it a lot because it targets its male audience more thoroughly through the use of the colour blue which is usually associated a masculine colour. The fonts I used for this album cover are Alpha Cloud and Bird of Feather. The brush I used is Clouds.

All of the fonts used on my album covers were downloaded from www.dafont.com, and all the brushes from www.brusheezy.com

The birds used in the penultimate, and final album covers, were taken from www.dafont.com too.
